This study aims to determine students' interest in learning in English courses and how lecturers' efforts to foster students' interest in learning in English courses at the YPIB Majalengka Nursing Academy. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using the Miles and Huberman model, namely reduction, display and conclusion. The results showed that students' interest in learning in English courses was influenced by: first, the student's internal factors which were shown by a lack of student liking for English courses and the assumption that English was a difficult subject, student attention was still low, against learning English, as well as the low learning outcomes of students. Second, external factors, which are related to the methods or methods of lecturers in teaching, are still monotonous and rarely use learning media when learning English.
